  • The document regarding whistleblower reports is published on the Polish side of the website.

  • The European Union is governed by the BMR Regulation, which applies to benchmarks. According to Article 28(2) of this Regulation, plans specifying actions in the event of a significant change or cessation of a benchmark should be reflected in customer agreements. This provision applies to institutions that use benchmarks, including our bank.

    What does this mean?

    • We offer clients, who do not have such provisions in their agreements, a free amendment to their mortgage loan agreement.
    • The amendment introduces a clause that specifies the actions we will take if a benchmark is discontinued or is significantly changed by its administrator.
    • This is important because the mortgage interest rate depends on the WIBOR reference index.
    • If you sign the amendment, the "Procedure..." will become an integral part of your agreement.

    How to sign the amendment?

    • Online or in a branch. If you don't have access to iPKO, you can call a PKO Bank Polski S.A. branch and arrange to sign the amendment at the branch.
    • If you decide not to sign the amendment, if the benchmark is not developed and published by the benchmark administrator, and if generally applicable law does not specify a substitute for the benchmark, we will determine the interest rate on your loan based on the last available quote for the existing benchmark and the margin agreed in your loan agreement. In such a case, we also allow early repayment of the loan at no additional cost.

The above information is current as of the date of publication. The information is of a general nature. The Bank will act in accordance with the laws in force at the time and in accordance with the loan agreement concluded with the customer.
