Michał Stępniewski – Master’s degree in law at the University of Warsaw, attorney-at-law, UK law graduate in British Law from the University of Cambridge and from IESE Business School. 

From 1997 to 2004 he was employed at the Securities and Exchange Commission, in positions ranging from Sub-Registrar to Counsel to the Chairman and Commission Spokesman. From 2004 to 2006, he was  Advisor to the Minister, Head of the Minister's Office and then Deputy Minister of the Treasury. From 2006 to 2009, he was Vice President of the Management Board of PKO Towarzystwo Funduszy Inwestycyjnych S.A. In years 2010-2013 was Dean of the Warsaw Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law. From 2009 to 2024, he was Vice President of the Management Board of Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych S.A. (National Securities Depository), where, among other things, he supervised and managed the financial policy of the company.

Currently he is a Supervisory Board Chairman of Szpital Praski Sp. z o.o. (Praga Hospital) and socially Chairman of the Foundation Board of Fundacja Stare Powązki.
