Legal basis: Art. 56 sec. 1 point 2 of the Act on Public Offering - current and periodic information
Content of the report: According to the paragraph 5.6 of the Regulation of the Minister of Finance dated 6 June 2025 on current and periodic information published by issuers of securities and on the conditions under which such information may be recognized as being equivalent to information required by the regulations of law of a state which is not a member state, the Management Board of PKO Bank Hipoteczny S.A. ("Bank") hereby informs that on August 6, 2026, the Supervisory Board of the Bank:
-appointed Ms Katarzyna Kurkowska-Szczechowicz as President of the Management Board for the current joint term of office, subject to approval of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (PFSA) and as of the date of this approval;
- entrusted Ms Katarzyna Kurkowska-Szczechowicz, Vice President of the Management Board, with directing the work of the Management Board, starting from August 7, 2026, until such approval by the PFSA.
Detailed information regarding Ms Katarzyna Kurkowska-Szczechowicz’s education, qualifications and previous positions, together with a description of her career, is provided in the Appendix no 1. to the report (in Polish).
Ms Katarzyna Kurkowska-Szczechowicz declared she:
- is not conduct any business competitive to the business of the Bank;
- is not participate in any business competitive in respect of the Bank as a partner in a partnership;
- is not a members of a bodies of a companies competing with the Bank;
- is not registered in the National Debt Register.

Katarzyna Kurkowska-Szczechowicz
She has been involved in the financial market for nearly 30 years. In 2012, she joined the PKO Bank Polski Group, initially as Director of the Risk Centre, and subsequently as Director of the Internal Audit Department at PKO Bank Polski.
She served as President of the Management Board of PKO Bank Hipoteczny and currently holds the position of Vice President of the Management Board.
She has been involved in numerous projects, including, amongst others, the project to establish PKO Bank Hipoteczny and a project aimed at developing an audit model based on a methodology of continuous risk assessment and control mechanisms, utilising statistical methods and artificial intelligence.
She was responsible for implementing new processes, including solutions utilising statistical methods and robotics.
She has many years’ managerial experience. She has held numerous senior management positions at financial market institutions, including BRE (now mBank), Citi, BPH and DNB Nord. As a Manager at EY, she carried out projects for organisations in the financial sector. She has been a long-standing member of Risk Committees, Asset and Liability Management Committees and Strategic Initiatives Committees.
She was a member of the Supervisory Board of the Credit Information Bureau. She has undertaken a number of training courses both in Poland and abroad. She currently serves as Chair of the Covered Bonds Committee at the Polish Bankers’ Association, coordinating activities aimed at developing the covered bonds market.
During conferences both in Poland and abroad, she has participated as an expert in numerous panels and workshops devoted to issues relating to the covered bond market.
She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Warsaw School of Economics, specialising in Finance and Banking, and a Master’s degree in Law from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. She is a graduate of the Executive MBA Programme at Aalto University.
